Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to work across civil, structural and geotechnical disciplines on major UK projects. Flexible, hybrid working with 1-2 days from home and a 40-hour week, within a top-tier engineering consultancy network.

You will contribute to design outputs, lead smaller projects, and help improve processes while supporting complex construction and infrastructure schemes across the country.

Qualifications

• Grounding in civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering principles.
• Working towards CEng or IEng status or equivalent experience.
• Experience in temporary works design or practical construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce and check design outputs: calculations, sketches, drawings, 3D models, reports.
• Lead simpler projects, manage scope, programme, and budget, liaison with teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and adapt to current and future challenges.
