Job summary

Parker Jones Group Ltd in London is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer with 5+ years’ experience in temporary works for demolition, formwork, shoring and related projects.

You will design and analyse temporary works, delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions while supporting bid teams. Chartered status is desirable; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Tedds and FEM analysis preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Chartered status is desirable but not essential
• 5+ years of experience in temporary works design
• Experience with demolition, cut and carve structures and geotechnical works

Responsibilities

• Provide design output and methodology for temporary works construction and removal
• Liaise with site Temporary Works Coordinator to ensure design briefs are understood
• Perform site visits to discuss methodology with the site team
• Carry out supplementary inspections for complex temporary works
• Support Head Office tendering with presentation drawings for bids
• Ensure designs comply with current codes, safety and CDM requirements
• Utilise existing stock equipment in designs where possible
• Maintain design records and drawing registers
