Job summary

Kier Group plc in Wells is seeking a Senior Temporary Works Advisor to support our temporary works team through tender and delivery, providing technical guidance on design and implementation and driving compliance.

You will mentor colleagues, review third-party designs, and work with clients to develop robust, safe temporary works solutions while upholding our standards.

Qualifications

• Be an incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEng MICE) or have significant relevant experience.
• Hold a Full driving licence.
• Able to work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to reach innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise on the effective implementation of temporary works standards and provide technical guidance on design and implementation.
• Undertake compliance audits and record findings to support continuous improvement.
• Support bid activities with outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering solutions.
• Provide design management advice and technical assessment of third-party designs.
• Resolve technical issues and support incident investigations while mentoring the team

Job description

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Temporary Works Advisor, you’ll be working within the team, supporting them in delivering high-quality construction engineering services. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, offering technical guidance on temporary works and supporting projects from tender stage through to completion.

• Advising on the effective implementation of temporary works standards and providing technical guidance on design and implementation
• Undertaking compliance audits and recording findings to support continuous improvement
• Supporting bid winning activities, including outline designs, feasibility studies and value engineering solutions
• Providing design management advice and technical assessment of third-party designs
• Resolving technical issues and supporting incident investigations, whilst delivering training and mentoring to enhance team capabilities
