Job summary

SP Energy Networks in Prenton/Birkenhead is seeking a Senior Field Engineer (Telecoms) to lead the delivery and planning of operational telecoms infrastructure, coordinating with internal customers and service providers. The role requires a degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, strong IP networking knowledge including MPLS, and proven project management experience.

This is a permanent hybrid position with three field/site days and two days remote, offering a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering.
• Proven project management experience with strong telecom background.
• Strong IP networking knowledge; MPLS/IP; familiarity with Visio and MS Project.
• Experience with operational telecommunications networks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and effective delivery of Telecoms projects and activities; review site safety and ensure realistic programmes.
• Review CHG requests; validate network records; sign off end-of-job documentation.
• Coordinate with field resources and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Forecast and report budgets (CAPEX/OPEX) and manage field service provisioning.
