Job summary

Advanced Thinking Management Group in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Tekla Draughtsman/Detailer to join the Drawing Office in Haverhill. The role focuses on interpreting engineer/architect information into fabrication drawings and 3D Tekla models.

The candidate will create 2D GAs and fabrication drawings, mentor junior staff, and keep up with industry standards. Tekla Structures experience is essential, with AutoCAD helpful; schedule is Monday to Friday, full-time.

Qualifications

• 5 years Tekla experience required.
• Tekla Structures essential; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• 3D modelling and 2D fabrication drawings from 3D models.
• Mentor junior members of the drawing office.

Responsibilities

• ATM Group is currently seeking a Senior Tekla Draughtsman/Detailer to join our Drawing Office. We require someone who can effectively interpret, and replicate information provided by our engineers and architects at an experienced level and process this into our fabrication facility. This position will be situated in our Haverhill (Suffolk) office.
• Using Tekla to create 3D models of all types of structural steelwork.
• Creation of 2D GAs from the 3D models.
• Creation of 2D drawings for fabrication packages
• Keep up to date with industry developments and changes in standards.
• Have a good understanding of Tekla software to create and edit reports/templates/settings.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and offices within the company to develop successful designs and solutions to engineering problems.
• Become a key member of the existing Drawing Office and help develop and train the junior members of the team.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in structural steel.
• Tekla Structures is essential.
• Experience using AutoCad is preferred but not essential.
• Experience using Strumis is preferred but not essential.
• Schedule:
• Monday to Friday
• Full-time, Permanent
