Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join the Internal Audit team. The role focuses on providing assurance over technology, digital and transformation risks, reporting to the Technology Internal Audit Manager.

This hands-on position requires delivering tech-focused audits, influencing assurance approaches, and contributing to the broader technology assurance capability within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology audit, technology risk, technology controls or a similar risk and assurance environment.
• Strong understanding of technology governance, risk and control frameworks.
• Capable of independently planning and delivering assurance work; translate technical issues into business risks and practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technology-focused internal audits from scoping to reporting.
• Plan and deliver assurance work, applying professional judgement.
• Influence assurance approaches across digital, data, cyber, transformation and emerging tech.
• Build relationships and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
