Job summary

British American Tobacco UK, Southampton, is seeking a Senior Technologist – MO to lead MO development tasks within the New Categories portfolio, aligning with product launch timelines. The role supports a team of scientists, applying laboratory methodologies and safety standards to deliver high-quality results while building technical expertise and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work closely with senior scientists, manage delivery of activities, and ensure rigorous safety and quality

Qualifications

• Minimum degree-level qualification in a relevant field (Chemistry, Food science, Technology science, Materials science, engineering, etc).
• Experience with laboratory equipment and safety protocols in a chemical lab.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned MO development tasks on time per project plans and launch timelines.
• Operate laboratory equipment and testing capabilities to support product development and project delivery.
• Follow established laboratory procedures, compliance standards, and scientific methodologies for high-quality execution.
• Collaborate with senior scientists to build technical expertise and mitigate risks to project delivery.
• Maintain confidentiality of technologies, formulations, and development activities.
