Job summary

Brunel University London is seeking Technicians to join the Design and Manufacturing Technical Services team at the Uxbridge campus. The role supports practical teaching by transforming ideas into high-quality models, prototypes and manufactured outcomes, within a busy workshop environment.

Candidates should have practical model making and manufacturing experience, with the ability to supervise and train staff and students, while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in model making, machining, prototyping, manufacturing or related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in a technical or work-based environment.
• Confidence communicating technical information to diverse audiences.
• Experience applying health and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching, learning and project activities across design and manufacturing disciplines.
• Provide technical support, guidance and training to students and staff.
• Lead day-to-day operations and management of facilities and resources (Senior Technician).
