Brunel University London invites skilled Technicians to join our Design and Manufacturing Technical Services team at the Uxbridge Campus. The postholders will support practical teaching environments, helping students transform ideas into high-quality models, prototypes and manufactured outcomes while contributing to ongoing investment and development.

Successful candidates will bring hands-on experience in model making, machining, prototyping and manufacturing, plus the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Practical experience in model making, machining, prototyping, manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in a technical or work-based environment.
• Confidence communicating technical information to people with different levels of knowledge.
• Experience of applying health and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching, learning and project activities across design and manufacturing disciplines.
• Help students transform ideas into high-quality models, prototypes and manufactured outcomes.
• Provide technical support, guidance and training to students and staff.
