Brunel University of London is seeking skilled Technicians and Senior Technicians to join our Design and Manufacturing Technical Services team at the Uxbridge Campus. The post is initially offered on a two-year fixed-term basis, within a practical teaching environment, to help students transform ideas into high-quality models, prototypes and manufactured outcomes.

• Practical experience in model making, machining, prototyping, manufacturing or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in a technical or work-based environment.
• Confidence communicating technical information to people with different levels of knowledge.
• Experience of applying health and safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching, learning and project activities across design and manufacturing disciplines, providing technical support, guidance and training to students and staff.
• Help students transform ideas into high-quality models, prototypes and manufactured outcomes.
