An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Technician (Electrical) to work in the Estates Maintenance Team. The Trust is seeking a qualified tradesperson to develop their engineering background with some management duties to support the Maintenance Manager.
You will be part of a great team responsible for delivering comprehensive maintenance and installation services across the Trust’s estate. The post attracts a band 6 salary, plus overtime, on-call allowance, and call-out payments.
The post holder will have both technical and managerial duties and act as an Authorised Person (AP) for Low Voltage works, with full training provided. The Trust and the Head of Service are committed to staff development, offering opportunities for further training and career progression.
Applicants must be a suitably trained, time-served electrician who has undertaken an apprenticeship. Responsibilities include maintenance and installation work across Trust properties, collaborating with specialist contractors and engineers. Our goal is to ensure a safe, compliant, and pleasant environment for patients and staff, working closely with clinical, nursing, medical, and corporate teams.
As a member of the Estates and Facilities Maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering the Trust’s planned maintenance and repair services. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will have line management responsibility for half the team, including Multi-skilled Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Assistants.
You will play a technical role in ensuring scheduled maintenance is completed, documentation is maintained, and regulatory frameworks are followed. You will have Authorised Person LV (LVAP) duties, with training provided, and will participate in the crafts persons on-call rota. You will work with the Maintenance Manager and Work Planner to improve preventative maintenance, legal compliance, and reactive maintenance across the estate.
