This is a bank staff role with no fixed hours.
The technical team at Nottingham School of Art & Design is looking to expand its team of bank staff to support across the school. This is a casual role with no fixed hours and supports the team during busy periods, evenings and/or weekends.
As a Senior Technician, you will work under the direction of the Technical Specialist and the Technical Team Leader for the area to provide support to students. Senior Technicians support undergraduate and postgraduate students during workshops and self-directed study, creating a positive and encouraging environment. This may involve delivering inductions and technical demonstrations as well as the day-to-day management of the workshop. You will work with students across various skill levels. The post holder will be responsible for the safe use of the workshop, equipment, and machinery upkeep as well as delivering inductions on certain equipment and/or processes. We are looking for specialists in one or more of the following areas:
You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently within a team. You will be able to communicate ideas of a complex and technical nature to students, using a variety of methods and have detailed knowledge of the workshop and/or industry experience.
