Job description

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Wymondham.

The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial, serving both public and private clients.

Hours

37.5 hours per week with some flexibility available; please discuss during your application.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Technician within the Civil and Structural Engineering team, you will support the production and review of structural engineering drawings, 3D building models, reinforcement schedules, and specifications, ensuring delivery of excellent, sustainable projects aligned with information management standards.

• Produce and review coordinated structural drawings, models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assured environment.
• Coordinate structural design information with other technical disciplines.
• Lead structural design coordination within the team and with other disciplines such as Architecture, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Building Services Engineering.
• Mentor junior technicians, supporting professional development.
• Occasionally visit sites for surveys and inspections, and collaborate with colleagues across sites and offices.

Qualifications and Skills

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a degree in a construction-related discipline, HNC, BTEC, or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering, Building, or Construction.
• Are proficient in REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, producing models and drawings compliant with current standards and regulations.
• Have experience in checking work within a quality management system and are familiar with building regulations. A full driving license is required for site visits.
