Job summary

Guy Carpenter in the UK is seeking a Senior Technician for the Bindings/Delegated Underwriting Client Support Team on a hybrid basis. The role focuses on technical duties related to client accounts, premiums and claims, with homeworking two days a week and three days in Witham.

Strong numeracy and Excel skills are essential, and experience with CLASS/ECF, IMR and delegated authority is highly regarded. You will manage broker relationships and end-to-end client processing while developing

Qualifications

• Binder and Facility experience essential with strong analytical and Excel skills.
• Strong numeracy or fiduciary/account experience is valuable.
• Experience with London Market systems such as CLASS/ECF and the IMR.
• Experience within Delegated Authority (Binders, Lineslips, Consortia).
• Familiarity with Bordereau and Lloyd's standard V5.2; general claims experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned high profile client portfolio and technical duties for client accounts, premiums and claims.
• Handle brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, reporting requests and payments.
• Build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
• Participate in training and contribute to Binder and Facility service processing.
• Take responsibility for bespoke projects and metric reporting within the team.

Our Client Support Services department have an opportunity for a Senior Technician in our Binders/ Delegated Underwriting Client Support Team. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham.

Binder and Facility experience is essential with strong analytical and Excel skills or candidates with strong numeracy skills. Would consider individuals with strong Fiduciary (account and settlement)

We will rely on you to:

• Manage an assigned high profile client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims.

• Manage all brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post booking receipt, ad hoc reporting requests, payment of funds and all management and transactional process steps.

• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.

• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of Binder and Facility service processing to assist with troubleshooting.

• Fully interact with team taking responsibility for managing bespoke project and assigned metric reporting.

What you need to have:

• Industry Experience within a technical capacity and the ability to demonstrate a strength in numbers.

• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

• Willingness to learn and pass on skills.

• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Significant experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker.

• Experience of using London Market systems such as CLASS/ECF and the IMR.

• Experience within Delegated Authority (Binders, Lineslips, Consortia).
