Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Pro Rata Technician in the UK to support client processing and ensure timely reinsurance recoveries. This hybrid role combines home working two days a week with three days at the Witham office, offering end-to-end responsibility for a client portfolio within a broker environment.

Ideal candidates will have reinsurance experience (Pro Rata, Treaty, XOL or premiums/claims), strong Excel skills, and a keen willingness to learn the technical account structure while managing

• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of the technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload with the ability to manage expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
• Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps.
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team for all aspects of reinsurance service processing.

Our Client Support Services department have an opportunity for a Pro Rata Technician. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham. As a Pro Rata Technician, you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of reinsurance whether that be within Pro Rata, Treaty, XOL or Reinsurance Premiums/Claims.

We will rely on you to:

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.

What you need to have:

• Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie; handling cash loss/large loss
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Experience within Pro Rata
• Experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker
• Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)
• Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit and the Citibank process
