Job description

You will be responsible for:

As a Senior Technician, your specific responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks. To thrive in this role, you will need to:

• Confidently Interact with External Contractors: Coordinate repairs seamlessly.
• Work Collaboratively with the Team: Be a great colleague who understands the importance of quality service.
• Sustain High Energy Levels: Juggle tasks while maintaining efficiency.
• Assist the Management Team: Keep our stores operating smoothly by maintaining equipment and facilities.
• Minimize Customer Disruption: Coordinate repairs with minimal impact on our valued customers.

Responsibilities will include:

• Drive service and standards and represent the Tesco brand well.
• Oversee workflow to prioritize day-to-day repairs using CMMS.
• Own and successfully deliver the safe and legal audits.
• Ensure all PPMs are carried out within specified timeframes and recommendations are completed—stand over L8 & LOLER and PUWER equipment on sites, ensuring legal compliance at all times.
• Deliver strong critical asset availability through a tenacious and pragmatic approach.
• Liaise with stakeholders on any intrinsic faulty equipment affecting operations.
• Deliver strong compliance in pest control through a proactive mindset.
• Coordinate and assure contractor works on site; be the go-to person for best practices—manage parts inventory with a cost-conscious mindset.
• Continuously improve SSOW / SOPs.
• Complete any reasonable ad hoc requests as per line manager’s instructions—multi-site responsibilities and ownership.
• Follow our Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.
