Senior Technician - Civil and Structural Engineering

We're looking for a Senior Technician to join our Design team based in Liverpool. The team designs a wide range of building types and site redevelopments across various construction sectors such as education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial for both public and private clients.

Location: Liverpool

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - some flexibility available. Please discuss your preferences during the interview.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Technician, you'll support the Civil and Structural Engineering team by producing and checking civil and structural engineering drawings, 3D building models, reinforcement schedules, and specifications for building projects.

Your daily tasks include:

• Producing and checking coordinated drawings, design models, schedules, and specifications within a quality assurance environment.
• Collaborating with other technical disciplines to ensure design information is coordinated.
• Visiting sites for surveys and inspections, and attending meetings at clients, consultants, or other Kier offices.

Candidate Requirements:

This role is ideal if you:

• Hold a BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering, and are a Graduate or Associate Member of ICE, IStructE, or IWEM, with aspirations to become a Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Have experience with REVIT, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, producing building models and drawings compliant with current standards and regulations.
• Are committed to professional development and possess a full driving license to visit sites and offices.
