Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Head of Technical Training to oversee the development of health and safety, engineering, marine, and plant training programmes across the organisation.

You will lead a high-performing team, drive competency frameworks, implement LMS solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee governance and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building and delivering technical and/or health and safety training in a complex, safety-critical or operational environment
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance and accreditation requirements for safety-critical and equipment-operation training
• Experience developing technical competency frameworks and assessing competence in technical functions
• Experience deploying learning technology and systems, such as LMS and digital learning, to support scalable training delivery
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills in a matrixed, technical organisation
• Proven track record of leading and growing a high-performing team
• Relevant health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH, and/or L&D / TAP / CIPD qualification (desirable)
• Successful candidates must consent to Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) pre-employment screening
• Successful candidates must undergo random substance-abuse screening and a pre-start medical
