We are seeking a skilled and proactive Senior Technical Surveyor to join our newly established team dedicated to addressing damp, mould, and disrepair issues.

This is a vital role within our Property Services department, where you will help ensure that our residents live in safe, healthy, and well-maintained homes.

You will lead on complex cases, provide expert technical advice, and help develop and implement long-term solutions that improve living conditions and meet compliance standards.

Qualifications - MRICS and HNC/HND in construction or equivalent are desirable.

Your input will be central to driving forward our commitment to delivering high-quality housing services that really make a difference to the lives of our tenants.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • To lead on all legal technical investigations for damp, mould and disrepair in liaison with appointed contractors.
  • Manage a team of damp surveyors to ensure compliance with Awaab’s Law.
  • Ability to create detailed disrepair reports, schedules and specifications for building works.
  • Ensure that works delivered are in accordance with Health & Safety, CDM and Regulatory requirements.
  • To contribute to the delivery of an effective and focused property/asset management service for the council.

  • Paid holiday entitlement starts at 26 days per annum and increases with length of service to a maximum of 33 days per annum. This is pro rata for part-time employees
