With a thriving pipeline and impressive repeat business record, they are now looking for a Senior Technical Services Manager to deliver a £25M MEP package on a £60M Grade II listed commercial fit-out project in the heart of London.

? Your Role

As Senior Technical Services Manager, you’ll play a critical leadership role in delivering the MEP aspects of this major refurbishment project. Working from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover, you’ll act as the technical authority on all building services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full MEP strategy, overseeing design, installation, commissioning, and quality assurance.
• Act as the MEP interface with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders.
• Chair MEP coordination workshops and ensure technical compliance across all services.
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Drive the MEP programme and interface closely with planners to meet key milestones.
• Support procurement through technical evaluations, tender reviews, and contractor interviews.
• Lead the commissioning plan, integrating services testing, seasonal commissioning, and handover protocols.
• Maintain rigorous control of change management and technical RFIs.
• Mentor and support site-based technical services teams and supervisors.

? What You’ll Bring

• Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or Building Services).
• 10+ years’ experience in MEP project delivery, ideally with a main contractor on complex commercial refurbishments or high-end fit-outs.
• Strong technical knowledge across HVAC, Electrical, Public Health, and BMS systems.
• Deep understanding of MEP coordination in constrained, heritage, or listed buildings.
• Proven success in pre-construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and leadership skills.

Preferred certifications (advantageous but not essential):

• CIBSE or IET Membership / Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status
• SMSTS / CSCS Black Card / First Aid Certification
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital construction tools (e.g. Navisworks, Revit, Asta/MS Project)
