Job summary

National Highways seeks a Senior Technical Architect to embed security across IT, OT and business services within the Digital Services Directorate. You will influence architecture, risk and governance to support resilient, compliant digital delivery.

The role is hybrid (two office days per week) and can be based at any UK National Highways office, with occasional travel and SC clearance may be required. Five years' UK residency is normally expected.

Qualifications

• Strong background in security architecture across IT, OT and business services.
• Experience applying ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR and IEC 62443 frameworks.
• Proven ability to translate security strategy into architectural solutions.
• Knowledge of identity, access management, encryption and network segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic security architecture advice across IT, OT and business services.
• Develop and review secure designs, risk assessments and security controls.
• Guide cloud and OT security deployment, configuration management and incident response.
• Drive continuous improvement of enterprise security frameworks and governance.
