Job summary

National Highways seeks a Senior Technical Architect to embed security across IT, OT and business services within the Enterprise Security Architecture team. You will advise on architecture, risk, governance and cloud/OT security, ensuring compliant, resilient solutions.

The role is hybrid with two days in the office each week, UK-wide locations, and requires SC clearance and five years of UK residency for vetting. Travel to team meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security architecture
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
• Experience translating strategy into practical security solutions

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic security architecture advice across IT, OT and business services
• Identify security gaps and influence technology roadmaps and transformation
• Develop and review high-level and detailed security designs and risk assessments
• Guide configuration management, patching, access control, DR and incident response
• Continuously improve enterprise security frameworks, maintain documentation and compliance records
