VML is seeking a Senior Project Manager and Release Manager to join our Delivery Team on a contractual basis in London. You will lead technical teams and manage releases across complex client environments, communicating with developers and senior technical staff.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, governance, and hands-on experience with CI/CD, Azure and AWS DevOps tooling, and diverse project methodologies. Hybrid London-based with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Project Management experience, ecommerce experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to read log files and direct technical investigation.
• Experience with ecommerce frameworks and hosting solutions.
• Understanding of cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS DevOps tooling.
• Deliver to customer expectations within strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of project lifecycle and methodologies (Agile, Incremental, Waterfall).
• Comfortable with complex technical environments and legacy systems integration.
• Managing 3rd parties and vendors.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Excellent negotiation and diplomacy.
• PM qualifications; MS Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.
• Excellent English communication.

Responsabilités

• Release and technical reporting on project deliverables and release pipeline.
• Identify technical risks and mitigation options.
• Communicate with stakeholders and chair technical meetings.
• Coordinate internal technical specialists.
• Lead and inspire the team to achieve objectives.
• Ensure teams complete tasks and suggest process improvements.
• Mentor Junior Technical Project Managers across accounts.
• Plan and manage build of new infrastructure environments.
• Coordinate high-quality solutions on time with good time management.
• Stay updated with emerging industry practices.
• Manage releases across pre-prod and prod environments and dependencies.
• Implement governance per client needs.
• Build client confidence by understanding needs and delivering quality solutions.
• Set and manage client expectations and maintain a positive image.
• Manage 3rd party vendors and client resources.
