Job summary

Averna powered by Spherea designs, manufactures and supports complex test systems for aerospace, defence and other regulated industries. The Technical Project Manager role leads engineering projects from kickoff through design, manufacture, integration and commissioning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing technical, commercial and delivery matters.

Regular travel in the UK and abroad is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex engineering projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management skills.
• Technical understanding to work with engineers on test, control, automation.
• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements to acceptance.
• Experience controlling scope, schedule, resources, risk and cost.
• Clear written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel in the UK and internationally; UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer and stakeholder relationships, governance, kick-off and design reviews.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across systems, hardware, software, and production.
• Maintain PM artifacts: plan, WBS, schedule, risk, quality and configuration.
• Control delivery against baseline, schedule, and budget with forecasts.
• Manage lifecycle gates from requirements to acceptance and closure.
• Record changes and assess cost and schedule implications.
• Coordinate intercompany and international delivery and interfaces.
