Job summary

djr is seeking a Senior Technical Product Owner in Preston with hybrid working (3 days onsite) and a salary of £75,000 plus benefits. The role sits between business stakeholders and engineering teams, acting as the technical bridge to translate complex requirements into viable, implementable outcomes.

The successful candidate will own technical delivery, manage backlogs, and lead senior discussions with MDs and leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience turning business requirements into engineering work.
• Ability to prioritise backlogs and run workshops.
• Proven capability to challenge senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows.
• Experience in enterprise software delivery with multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into epics, features and user stories.
• Own technical delivery and backlog priorities.
• Lead refinement workshops with engineers and architects.
• Facilitate senior stakeholder conversations and decisions.
• Work across SDLC with engineering, QA and product leadership.
• Ensure implementation-ready engineering requirements.
• Navigate APIs, integrations and system dependencies.
• Take ownership and avoid simply documenting decisions.
