Job summary

Guardian News and Media in London is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the Apps Platform, directing the roadmap for iOS and Android and coordinating with engineering and data teams to deliver best-in-class mobile experiences.

You will identify platform opportunities, prioritise work with the engineering manager, and ensure platform delivery aligns with business goals while keeping up with Mobile OS changes to serve app teams effectively.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technical product management within digital/media platforms.
• Proven ability to lead with engineering and data teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong data-informed decision making and user-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for iOS and Android platform team, aligning with product development goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, data and other stakeholders to identify platform opportunities.
• Prioritise work with the engineering manager, balancing business, technical, and UX needs.
• Track upcoming Mobile OS changes to keep Guardian apps at the forefront.
• Drive value for end users by reducing cognitive load, maintenance, security and reliability.
• Analyze data and KPIs to measure impact of platform delivery on developer experience.
