Job summary

The Guardian is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager for the Apps Platform to drive the iOS and Android roadmaps. You will balance product priorities with platform capabilities, collaborating with engineering, data and other stakeholders to deliver value for end users, while navigating evolving mobile OS requirements and maintaining reliability.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in technical product management within digital media, publishing or commercial platforms.
Proven ability to lead with engineering and data teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication across functions.
Ability to understand engineer pain points and improve developer experience.

Responsibilities

Own the product roadmap for iOS and Android platforms, aligning with development teams.
Collaborate with engineering, data and stakeholders to identify platform opportunities.
Prioritise work with engineering manager, balancing business, technical and UX needs.
Identify upcoming Mobile OS changes to keep Guardian apps at the forefront.
Find ways Apps Platform can reduce cognitive load, maintenance, and improve security and reliability.
Analyse user data and KPIs to measure impact of platform delivery and developer experience.
Treat internal tools as products, define users and gather feedback.
