Hazlewoods is seeking a Senior Technical Paraplanner for its Financial Planning team based in Staverton, near Cheltenham. You will support advisors with complex planning work to deliver high-quality client outcomes.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in Financial Services, a Full Diploma in Financial Planning, and experience with Microdecisions, Analytics, Voyant and CashCalc. There is a clear progression path and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in Financial Services, primarily in paraplanning or technical roles.
• Full Diploma in Financial Planning (essential).
• Experience supporting advice on personal protection, pre- and post-retirement planning, and core financial planning areas.
• Experience using Microdecisions, Analytics, Voyant and CashCalc.

Responsibilities

• Producing comprehensive financial planning reports across a broad range of advice areas.
• Drafting technical documents and client presentations, clearly explaining complex planning issues.
• Working closely with financial planners to support advice delivery for both new and existing clients.
• Liaising directly with clients, including ultra-high-net-worth individuals.
• Collaborating with the administration and wider planning team to support efficient client servicing.

What We’re Looking For

• At least five years’ experience in Financial Services, primarily in a paraplanning or technical role
• Full Diploma in Financial Planning (essential), with progression towards Advanced Diploma or Chartered status
• Recent experience supporting advice on personal protection, pre‑ and post‑retirement planning and core financial planning areas
• Experience using tools such as Microdecisions, Analytics, Voyant and CashCalc
• A methodical, detail‑focused approach with strong technical knowledge
• A proactive attitude, confidence to use initiative and strong communication skills
