Job summary

mbf is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join the team in Taunton, offering a hybrid working arrangement and a highly competitive package. You will support Financial Planners with technical research and suitability reports.

The role suits someone with solid paraplanning experience, a CII Level 4 Diploma, and strong knowledge across pensions, investments and protection. You will develop robust strategies, prepare compliant reports, and help progress within an ambitious, supportive environment.

• Keep up to date with FCA requirements, taxation developments and relevant legislation.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and share knowledge with colleagues.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Planners and Administrators, providing high-quality technical and research support across a diverse range of financial planning cases.

You will play a key role in developing robust financial planning strategies, preparing detailed suitability reports and ensuring clients receive clear, accurate and compliant advice.

The role will suit an experienced Paraplanner who enjoys working on complex cases, takes pride in producing excellent work and wants to progress within a supportive and ambitious financial planning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Financial Planners and Administrators to deliver a seamless client experience.

About You

We are looking for someone with solid experience within a paraplanning environment who is ready to take the next step in their career.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience working as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment.
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection.
• Experience producing detailed suitability reports and supporting complex financial planning cases.
• A sound understanding of FCA regulations, compliance and client outcomes.
• Excellent analytical and research skills, with strong attention to detail.

This role would be particularly well suited to an experienced Paraplanner looking for greater responsibility, more technically challenging work and a clear route for progression within a growing organisation.
