Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to provide technical leadership across major water and wastewater infrastructure programmes. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence, governance and innovation throughout the project lifecycle from feasibility and design through construction and handover.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in an engineering or related technical discipline.
• Significant experience in technical leadership within water, wastewater or major infrastructure sectors.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects or programmes.
• Strong understanding of governance, design management and risk management in engineering.
• Experience across full project lifecycle from feasibility to handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across water infrastructure programmes.
• Establish technical strategies, delivery plans and governance arrangements.
• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with client requirements, legislation and standards.
• Manage complex technical risks and interfaces.
• Support project delivery by aligning engineering with cost, schedule and construction requirements.
• Lead design reviews, technical assurance, value engineering and constructability assessments.
• Build strong relationships with clients, delivery partners and contractors.
• Champion innovation, sustainability, digital engineering and low-carbon solutions.
• Mentor engineering teams and support professional growth.
• Assist with bids, proposals and business development in the water sector.
