Tarmac is seeking a Senior Technical Manager to lead the regional technical team across the South West and Wales, advancing technical excellence and aligning with regional strategic objectives.

You will influence operations, drive performance improvements, and develop a high-performing team while maintaining a strong safety culture and strong customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within aggregates and asphalt technical operations.
• Proven leadership delivering business results.
• Excellent knowledge of aggregate and asphalt specifications, standards and legislation.
• Experience delivering financial and operational targets.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional technical team to deliver exceptional performance.

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and quality enhancement.

SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER

Location: Stancombe Quarry and Asphalt Plant, Bristol OR Hendy Quarry, Pontyclun, Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales

Lead Technical Excellence – Drive Performance. Shape the Future. This senior technical manager will join the South West and Wales Leadership Team, guiding the regional technical function across our aggregates and asphalt business. The role is highly influential, responsible for delivering technical excellence, supporting strategic objectives, and developing a high‑performing team to ensure long‑term success in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional technical team to deliver exceptional performance.
• Drive the technical strategy and optimisation priorities across the region.
