Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group is seeking a Technical and Compliance Manager for its Midlands base. The role leads technical direction, owns product strategy, compliance, testing and certification, and governs major engineering decisions to balance risk, cost and customer needs.

Reporting to senior management, you will collaborate with quality, engineering and operations teams to drive product development, test strategy and regulatory conformity across the low-voltage equipment and switchgear portfolio.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in technical leadership, product development, compliance and certification.
• Experience of developing low-voltage electrical equipment from requirements through testing, approval and production release.
• Experience working with customers, suppliers, test laboratories and certification bodies.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear technical direction and act as principal technical authority for significant decisions, changes and customer solutions.
• Own the product roadmap and prioritise improvements and major customer-led developments.
• Maintain ownership of product compliance and certification across the product range, including testing and verification strategies.
• Own significant technical risks including safety, design control, obsolescence, compliance and change.
• Provide senior technical input for major projects and represent the company in significant technical meetings.
• Own the engineering and product development framework and align delivery with technical and compliance requirements.
