Job summary

Ptsg Electrical Safety Division is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a national team responsible for electrical testing, inspection and compliance across the UK. You will set technical standards, governance and drive continuous improvement, coaching engineers and supervising staff.

The role is primarily home-based with occasional travel to client sites and offices. The successful candidate will combine deep electrical testing expertise with strong leadership, communication and project

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electrical testing, inspection and installation environments.
• Relevant technical qualifications in electrical inspection, testing and installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical compliance, safety standards and industry regulations.
• Previous leadership or management experience within a technical electrical environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Good IT and business administration capability.
• A practical, hands-on approach with a passion for developing others.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing a team of Qualified Supervisors located across the UK.
• Acting as the technical authority for electrical testing, inspection and compliance matters.
• Ensuring adherence to British and European standards, safety regulations and NICEIC requirements.
• Supporting and preparing for external audits and regulatory assessments.
• Driving improvements in technical procedures, systems and ways of working.
• Providing coaching, mentoring and training support to engineers and QS teams.
• Acting as a senior escalation point for technical and customer-related issues.
• Building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders across the business.
• Supporting a collaborative leadership team focused on growth, compliance and service excellence.
