Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced Casualty underwriter to join our Underwriting Office as a Technical Underwriting Specialist in the UK. You will shape strategies, analyse portfolios using BI/MI data, and own underwriting guides while training others and supporting project work.

A strong tie between underwriting expertise and data-driven insight is essential. The role offers hybrid work with three days in the office and two at home, in accordance with policy, and requires solid casualty

Qualifications

• ACII qualification and degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in Property and Casualty underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of local insurance market and regulatory rules.
• Advanced underwriting knowledge in casualty and/or property.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor underwriting strategies reflecting market conditions.
• Analyse portfolios using MI/BI data from multiple sources.
• Identify trends in performance and pricing and report insights.
• Maintain underwriting guides and train underwriters.
• Collaborate on product development and pricing guidelines.
• Support regulatory reporting and governance.
