Job summary

Miller Maxwell Ltd. seeks a Technical Business Analyst for a high-visibility role in global electronic trading in London. You will sit at the crossroads of engineering, product, and major clients, translating complex technology into business terms and shaping the specification engineers can implement.

You will be the single point of contact, owning requirements and ensuring alignment across front-office, brokerage, and market data teams, with real influence from day one.

Qualifications

• A STEM degree (2:1 or above).
• 5+ years as a Technical Business Analyst in financial services, specifically within electronic trading — front-office, brokerage, exchange, an ISV, a software vendor, or market data.
• Experience within Equities or Fixed Income markets.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, or C++ to participate in architecture discussions, even if not coding.
• Strong stakeholder management, comfortable with senior leadership and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients to unpick actual needs, not just requests.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales to turn needs into scrutinizable requirements.
• Manage multiple fast-moving workstreams while keeping delivery goals in sight.
• Explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible way.
