Senior Technical Building Safety Manager, London

Typical day as a Senior Technical Building Safety Manager

1. Leading a small team of Technical Building Safety Managers, Assistants, and Apprentices to ensure building safety compliance.
2. Overseeing building safety investigations and major remedial works, making sure projects are on time and within budget.
3. Working with contractors to resolve fire risk actions quickly and efficiently.
4. Ensuring new buildings are free of safety defects and maintaining high quality standards.
5. Providing expert technical support to our Development and Technical Quality teams on design and specifications.
6. Collaborating with the Building Safety Directorate and other colleagues to reduce the number of high-risk buildings in our portfolio.

You bring

1. Substantial experience in project management, especially with residential developments, design standards, and contractor management.
2. In-depth understanding of the planning system and laws to ensure compliant schemes.
3. Degree-level education or equivalent experience in surveying, building, or a related field, along with a professional qualification.
4. Proven ability to manage and lead a team, ensuring high performance.
5. Strong organisational and driving skills to manage projects effectively.
6. Excellent influencing and communication skills to build rapport and drive change.
