Job summary

Sports Interactive Limited is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to join the Art & Animation team in London. You will drive technical excellence, improve workflows, and support high-quality visuals across pipelines.

The role bridges Art and Engineering, mentoring colleagues and shaping pipelines while balancing quality with performance. Hybrid work 2-3 days in-studio at Here East supports collaboration and delivery across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Strong Technical Art fundamentals across multiple areas.
• Advanced experience in shaders, rendering, procedural workflows, scripting, optimisation, VFX, rigging, animation, tools, or content pipelines.
• Unity experience demonstrated in past projects.
• Enjoys solving technical problems and improving production workflows at team and project scale.
• Balances visual quality with technical constraints, usability and runtime performance.
• Experience building maintainable and scalable workflows rather than one-off solutions.
• Clear communication across technical and non-technical disciplines.
• Collaborates across Art, Animation, Graphics, Engineering and Production teams.
• Organised, self-driven and able to manage complex technical initiatives independently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and solve complex technical challenges across the Art & Animation team while improving production workflows.
• Collaborate with Artists, Animators, Graphics Programmers, Engineers, Technical Directors, and Production to improve pipelines and support delivery.
• Drive improvements across content pipelines, workflows, tools, and technical processes.
• Develop and maintain scalable technical solutions for efficiency and quality.
• Support shader development, rendering workflows, procedural systems and runtime implementation.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and propose practical optimisation solutions.
• Assist in developing tools, automation and pipeline improvements across A&A.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Technical Artists and adjacent disciplines.
• Support sprint planning, retrospectives and cross-discipline delivery discussions.
• Define and maintain Technical Art standards and best practices.
• Communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
