Senior Technical Architect / Technologist

The Opportunity

I am currently working with a highly regarded architectural and development consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior Technical Architect or Architectural Technologist at Associate level to join its growing Development Consultancy team in London.

This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced technical professional with a strong background in Revit, technical design and the delivery of existing-building projects.

Candidates with proven experience across structural remediation, façade remediation or refurbishment projects will be of particular interest.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering technically complex projects across the existing building sector, working across the full lifecycle of developments and refurbishment schemes.

The role will involve:

Leading technical design and delivery across refurbishment, remediation and existing-building projects.

Producing and coordinating detailed technical information using Revit.

Developing external cladding and façade packages through RIBA Stages 3-4.

Producing construction details, specifications and technical design information.

Coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors and specialist subcontractors.

Managing projects and supporting the delivery of multiple workstreams.

Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior members of the team.

Supporting the development of technical standards and best practice.

Working closely with clients and project stakeholders to resolve technical and design issues.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Strong experience as a Senior Technical Architect, Senior Architectural Technologist or similar.

Excellent working knowledge of Revit.

Proven experience delivering technical design and construction detailing for existing buildings.

Experience with façade, cladding or external wall packages, ideally through RIBA Stages 3-4.

Experience working on remediation, refurbishment or structural remediation projects.

Strong understanding of construction technology, detailing and building regulations.

Previous experience managing projects, packages or technical teams.

The ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong communication and client-facing skills.

A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of technical delivery.
