Job summary

IMSERV EUROPE LIMITED seeks a seasoned Solutions Architect to lead the Astral platform architecture, govern data foundations, and drive the transition to a multi-tenant environment. You will shape API, data, and AI layers while guiding technical roadmaps across product squads in collaboration with the Head of Development.

Responsibilities include documenting architecture, evaluating patterns and third-party services, and ensuring entitlement-driven APIs across portal, analytics and data feeds.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a technical or solutions architect on customer-facing SaaS platforms.
• Direct experience of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, ideally including a single-tenant to multi-tenant migration.
• Engineering background in C#/.NET, Angular and Azure.
• Experience of event-driven architecture and workflow or rules tooling (or similar).
• Practical knowledge of AI: LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, and safe use over customer data.

Responsibilities

• Keep current and target architecture documented and understood across the department.
• Review and approve significant technical decisions: patterns, technology choices, integration approaches and third-party services.
• Define the API strategy: portal, analytics and data-feed APIs treated as products with entitlement enforced at the tier.
• Design multi-utility data architecture for metering, consumption, carbon, asset and CRM data flows end-to-end.
• Design the rules and orchestration layer: event backbone, orchestration engine, decision tables and read models served through APIs.
• Design the AI layer with guardrails and model/service selection, respecting entitlement.
• Lead build-versus-buy evaluations on total cost, time to value and lock-in risk.
