Theale, Berkshire-based boutique accounting firm is seeking a Technical Accounting & Valuations Manager to lead complex accounting projects for a diverse client base. You will own engagements from planning through to delivery, providing practical technical advice and high-quality outputs.

Ideal candidates are ACA qualified with Top 20 practice experience, strong audit background, and proven ability to coach juniors, manage client relationships and drive process improvement in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• ACA qualification with Top 20 practice experience.
• Strong technical accounting background including audit exposure.
• Experience managing client engagements from planning to completion.
• Experience preparing technical accounting papers and reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex technical accounting projects from planning through to completion.
• Provide clear, practical and commercially focused technical accounting advice to clients.
• Prepare and review technical accounting papers, reports and supporting documentation.
• Lead on complex and judgemental areas of client work.
• Present technical findings, conclusions and recommendations clearly to clients.
• Work closely with Business Directors and senior engagement teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
• Coach, mentor and review the work of trainees and junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, technical methodologies and client delivery.
• Take initiative and contribute to the continued development of the business.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and support the wider team with technical learning and development.
