Job summary

bk plus is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to lead and review audit and accounts assignments for a diverse client base. You will manage jobs from start to finish, supervise junior staff and liaise with clients, reporting to the audit partner.

The ideal candidate will have ACA or ACCA, strong SME experience, and excellent IT skills (Excel, Sage, Xero). A proactive approach and clear communication are essential in this growing practice.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified and able to lead audits.
• Strong audit experience with SME/owner-managed clients.
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Sage, Xero and CCH is advantageous.
• Attention to detail with a technical approach.
• Strong communication and client liaison skills.
• Proactive, with a drive to progress within a growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead and review audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion.
• Identify risks, assess impact and implement practical controls.
• Ensure timely completion within budgets and high standards.
• Report to the audit partner with key findings and issues.
• Coordinate with junior staff, allocate work and manage workflow.
• Review outputs prepared by junior team members.
• Liaise directly with clients to build relationships and deliver a professional service.
• Prepare and review accounts under IFRS, FRS 102 and related standards.
