AXA UK is seeking a Senior Technical Accountant to join the Ipswich team, supporting statutory reporting and technical accounting for the AXA UK Group. You will work on UK GAAP and IFRS, provide independent checks on balance sheet reconciliations, and liaise with AXA Group and auditors as needed.
The role requires IFRS/FRS 101/102 expertise and a strong accounting background within insurance. Hybrid work arrangements apply, with at least two days on-site and periodic travel as needed.

Job overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our Ipswich team. You'll be supporting the Statutory Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager in handling the statutory reporting and technical accounting work for the AXA UK Group. The team aims to be the expert resource on technical accounting and act as the main contact for local statutory reporting, covering UK GAAP and IFRS, as well as Group reporting under IFRS. You'll also be providing independent quality checks on the balance sheet reconciliations of all AXA UK entities.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) from December 2026. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.
