Job summary

Edenbrook, a large insurer, is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Accountant to join the Ipswich team. The role focuses on statutory accounts, technical accounting papers and Group reporting, while advising on complex accounting matters across the business.

You will support preparation of statutory accounts, deliver technical accounting guidance and input on audit topics, and help train Finance and staff on technical subjects. Insurance and reinsurance accounting expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS 101 and FRS 102.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent through significant relevant experience.
• Experience with financial accounting, statutory reporting, audits and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and explain complex accounting matters clearly.
• Insurance experience is essential, with a strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance accounting.
