Job summary

PA Consulting is recruiting for a senior software engineering leader to drive multi-disciplinary tech delivery and client-focused digital transformations. You will lead teams, architect scalable solutions, and mentor engineers while working in a hybrid model with on-site/client site days.

You will partner with product, design, and delivery teams to shape bids and proposals, uphold high standards (TDD, secure coding), and steer the lifecycle from concept through deployment across diverse sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a software engineering team and delivering complex tech programs.
• Strong client-facing communication and credibility in technology and delivery.
• Shaping end-to-end software delivery lifecycle across development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Ability to implement infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and efficient release management strategies.
• Improve system performance via load testing, caching, and query optimization for scale.
• Expertise in modern engineering standards (TDD, contract testing, secure coding) and patterns like event-driven architecture.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking to create long-term solutions.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
• Provide technical SME input to bids and client proposals and discuss technical approaches with clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with agile teams and multiple stakeholders to solve client problems using your technical skills and internal projects.
• Lead technical teams through complex challenges and guide clients through digital transformations.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Participate in live whiteboarding sessions and collaborative problem solving.
• Hybrid work model with two days on-site per week, potentially more on client sites depending on role.
• Contribute to a values-driven, inclusive work environment.
