Job summary

Parallax is seeking a Senior Tech Consultant to design, code and deliver AI-native products for clients across sectors. You will work hands-on in a cross-functional squad, shaping ideas with clients and turning ambiguous problems into practical, actionable engineering solutions.

You’ll contribute to technical architecture, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure while focusing on robust delivery, quality and security in a fast-paced consultancy setting.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background with production-grade systems.
• Hands-on experience with Next.js and React in a modern JS/TS stack.
• Passion for AI and ability to apply AI tools in real software workflows.
• Experience building AI-native products with frontier models, evaluation and reliability.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to translate complex problems into pragmatic solutions.
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders to shape solutions and recommendations.
• Excellent communication and empathy to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative, mentorship-minded, and able to work with cross-functional teams.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: testing, code quality, peer review, and security.
• Experience with CI/CD and cloud environments across diverse stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship high-quality digital and AI-native products for clients.
• Engage with clients to understand objectives and turn problems into pragmatic solutions.
• Explain options, trade-offs and recommendations in workshops and technical discussions.
• Write clean, well-tested code using Node.js, TypeScript, Next.js and React.
• Design and integrate AI capabilities, considering model choice, latency, cost and UX.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers and engineers to balance user needs and business value.
• Contribute to estimates, technical planning and product direction.
• Implement CI/CD, cloud infra and observability using GitHub Actions, AWS and Azure.
• Promote code quality, testing, peer review and security; mentor others.
