St Joseph’s Specialist Trust Cranleigh is seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students aged 5–19 with complex learning needs and communication disorders. You will assist with literacy, numeracy and daily living skills, while helping students access therapy-based education and grow independence.

Training pathways and apprenticeships are provided. Join a dedicated team, receive comprehensive training, and contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment on a beautiful Surrey site

Qualifications

• Empathy and resilience to support students with complex needs.
• Strong communication with children, families and professionals.
• Ability to work effectively within a dedicated educational team.
• Willingness to learn through training and mentoring.

Responsabilités

• Support with core subjects and daily living skills.
• Help students communicate using Makaton, signs, symbols or aids.
• Provide guidance when students feel anxious or frustrated and support behaviour management.
• Work with a skilled team with comprehensive training and on-site mentors.
• Some students require personal care; full training will be provided.
