Polden Bower School in Bridgwater is seeking a Senior Teaching Assistant to join our team. You will work 12.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, term time plus INSET days, supporting a range of activities and learners with specialist resources.

You will mentor staff, support the class teacher, manage pupil files, prepare resources, and assist with planning, teaching groups, and staff training. The role includes induction and ongoing professional development opportunities.

• Ability to mentor and train other staff.
• Strong organisational and admin support skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

• Provide mentoring for new support staff.
• Act as a professional role model for colleagues.
• Support class teacher with filing and resource preparation.
• Keep pupil files up to date and prepare learning materials.
• Be the first point of call in the teacher's absence.
