Job summary

LLOYD'S REGISTER INTERNATIONAL in Shaftesbury is seeking an experienced education support worker to assist teaching staff, deliver learning activities, and monitor student progress. The role focuses on creating a safe, supportive learning environment for pupils with diverse needs.

Responsibilities include coordinating class safety, supervising groups, and assisting with weekly planning and parental input. DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required for the post.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 1 year.
• Level 1/2 in English, Maths and ICT or willingness to achieve.
• Qualified first aider and lifeguard or willingness to achieve within 6 months.
• Moving & Handling certificate up to date.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead role in coordinating a safe and purposeful learning environment.
• Supervise groups of students and deliver learning activities when the teacher is absent.
• Assist with planning the week's schedule and review weekly planners with the class team.
