Job summary

Academics is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant in Tunbridge Wells to support students aged 11-19 with SLCN/ASD. You will help deliver IEPs, work one-to-one or in small groups, and aid classroom management.

You’ll prepare tailored resources and support social skills, forming strong relationships with students, staff, therapists and families. Enhanced DBS clearance is required or willing to obtain one; you must be a driver to support transport and community access needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN settings is desirable.
• Patience, empathy and strong communication are essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a school support team.

Responsibilities

The Role:
