Cockermouth School is seeking Teaching Assistants to support students, including those with Special Educational Needs, within its SRP autism provision. The Learning Support Department works to help pupils access lessons and develop essential learning skills.

Candidates should have GCSE English and Maths and be working towards or hold an NVQ or equivalent. A willingness to learn, independence, and teamwork are essential, with safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS where required.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (grade 4 or above) required.
• NVQ or equivalent qualification at the appropriate level.
• Willingness to train in autism and support STRP/Special Educational Needs.
• DBS check and safeguarding responsibilities will apply.
